Grey Smoke ?

What would cause grey smoke when operating at WOT. Just changed the lift pump a couple of weeks ago due to an air leak and just noticed the problem today when getting on the highway. The truck starts with no problem and idles great. When running it has no skips or stumbles. ??? Also it is more noticeable when is not up to temp in cool weather.

Re:Grey Smoke ?

Could be a combination of things.

Could just be the cold or could be partly due to retarded timing. Check the KSB for a good electrical connection as this helps in the cold temps to advance the timing. Also, what is the timing set to now? Maybe it needs to be adjusted, I know mine smoked alot more with the timing being retarded.
