p pump
p pump
ive been trying to find some research about p pumped 24 valves, i have a 99 with a high output injection pump, when you put on the p pump, is that replacing the injection pump or is the p pump something totally different than an injection pump, just a little confused about it, anyone have an answer for me, thanks
Welcome to DTR! Yes, you would be replacing your injection pump. The p-pump is a mechanically operated injection pump found in 94-98.0 Dodge Rams (and other applications). It's a brutal, dead-reliable fuel throwing unit, unlike the VP44 you presently have. There's an entire 24v p-pump conversion forum over on competitiondiesel if you want lots of info/input from folks who've done the swap.
