Ok, dumb question I know, but please read.
Ok, I've seen quite a few trucks at stop lights that are in idle and they're just blowing the smoke out. How are they doing that?
I can blow out a lot from mine but have to take off to do it. Just curious as to how they're able to do it. Anyone know how? Thanks. I know it's a dumb question and I'm not asking so I can do it all the time or anything, just interested.

I've tried putting it in nuetral and doing that, but didn't do much of anything. Even when I'm in drive hold the brakes and build boost it still doesn't put anything out. Any suggestions on that?

And it could be that they just have their fuel jacked way up. Heavy fueling at idle isn't the greatest idea. Extended idling in that tune can cause the cylinders to get washed down and lead to excessive engine wear.

I personally feel anyone that smokes like that has an improperly tuned truck. There just wasteing fuel and causing harm. I can black out a 4 lane highway as well as the next guy but the truck has to be working to do it not idleing away.
Boost takes away smoke as it is pumping more air into it and making a cleaner burn. I have heard that some injectors (Dragon Flow II's ) make smoke at idle.. dont know if thats true or not
Ok, thanks. I've kinda thought it probably wasn't all that great, just wondering how they make thier trucks do it. I can roll the smoke a lot more than most have told me I could with the Edge Juice, and new fuel system. I've only tried it in 3x5, and was real impressed with it. I'm not ready for number 4 or 5 yet without rebuilding the tranny. Just waiting for it to go now.
My injectors make a slight haze at idle, but you can't see it during that day. I didn't notice it until I saw it at night in the light of the headlights behind me.
With a cold start, it will haze white a bit, but this is pretty typical regardless of injector-- even stock trucks do a little bit.
