Can't seem to figure this one out....

Oil pressure sits just above the 40 mark on start up. When it gets up to operating temp, it'll sit on the 40 mark. Every once in a while it'll drop to half way between the 40 mark and the first mark when running over 2K rpm. If I drop back down to around 1500 and then pick up the throttle again, , it'll go back up to the 40 mark and stay there.

Drops to the first mark when I slow to a stop in gear. The needle was bouncing a little this morning too.

Just changed the oil and filter, oil temps never get over 178. Can't hear anything knocking, and it runs great. Keeping my fingers crossed the sensor is going bad again.

Any ideas?

I would suggest you move up to a mechincal oil pressure gauge. You make a comment about 2nd sender. Hmmm....

Most likely a sender issue... Again...

You might find a temporary gauge and test at the oil filter port...
