To get a 24v timed, or increase timing if that s what you mean, all you need is a timing box. That will give you a good timing advance and help raise your MPG's.

the 24 valve timing is electronicly controlled. theres no way to adjust it wiyh out a performance box. you may want to make sure you injection pump is operating correctly and that your lift pump is putting out the correct press. if you in columbus call columbus diesel supply.

My old truck had a custom Jessup "Diesel Tune Up" and ran like a beast. Jessup also changed my injectors and injection pump when I had some injector issues. Swapped out my old Schied Injectors for some Mach 2's just to let me drive it over the weekend and pull my trailer. Great guy who helped design the B series motor. I drove 2 hours there, pulled in the garage, he jumped on the motor and changed the injection pump and that thing was running again in like 40 minutes. Took his time while doing it and telling war stories about working at cummins. Had about 8-9 customer trucks in his driveway waiting for service. He held up his own vacation with his family, who was waiting in the house, to get my truck on the road. Might be hard to get ahold of but he will return phone calls and is worth the drive for his experience and knowledge with the ole' 5.9s.
