You can drill and tap the intake horn or there is a fitting you can get that uses a pre existing bolt hole in the intake.

You can look in my gallery I at the 4th picture. There is a plug on the intake manifold just to the right of the fuel filter. I think it is a ¾”. I think I used a ¾” to 1/8” brass pipe adapter.
Hope this helps.

This is how I did the Drill & Tap fitting on mine.
1st I removed the intake horn to keep the shavings out of the engine.

I set mine up like billg. Why would you drill/tap the horn? Is there a more accurate reading here?

I'm kinduva Nutz & Boltz guy.
I figured it would be a cleaner install than the "side of the block with reducers" install, and those "special" bolts hadn't come out yet.

Another "side effect" of drilling and tapping in the intake horn is a "smoother" operating boost gauge, and it never emits a squeek (buzz, humm or any other noise.).

I put all my gauge installs there, unless specificly asked otherwise. Only downside is when doing a fuel filter, or LP replacement, the hose can get kinked, and a hole can be made if not carefull.

Yup. It's ok.

My '98.5 ran 16.5 or so. They should run between 18-20.

Make sure all your clamps are tight on your rubber boots, and that the rubber boot on the passenger side, closest to the intercooler isn't rubbing on the A/C line.

If it is, just bend the A/C line outta the way a little bit.
