new cfm+ intake manifold

has any one tried one of the new cfm+ intake manifolds. they look to be better then anything on the market now. being made out of composite materials instead of cast alum. if anyone has let me know how you like it. maybe i will have to be the test rat on this one

Some have removed the heater grids, and not seen a noticable increase, as Rods mentioned in your thread on that subject.

Airflow is not exactly the same on a forced induction system as it is on a N/A gasser. It is still a consideration, but not in the same way...

I don't think they've been out long enough for to many people to have one, but I could be wrong.

How many other companys make new intake manifolds? It's just Banks, CFM+, and ATS right?

When I order one I'll be going with ATS unless this new CFM one turns out to be woth a crap.

Why get an intake manifold unless you want to run drugs or look pretty under the hood? I don't think any on the market have proved to make power.

Certianly not enough to justify the money. IMHO they are aimed at people coming over from modded gas engines who will remember the difference it made on their old vehicle.

There is one coming out, that will be way more economical than the ones on the market now. It also has 4 ports in it.

This is gonna come out wrong...

But why are you wanting the intake horn, and exhaust manifolds? The two of them would go a long way to paying for your twins...

my friend owns a diesel shop here and builds custom twins and said the manifold is almost required for the twins. i don't know why it is needed. but he knows his stuff so i'll take his word on it. and the intake horn helps out with the twins
