I just spent an hour on the phone with a filter company about making a filter to fit in our heatshields that we are puting in our trucks. I also have made some .032 stainless steel HS's that are sitting on the floor in my garage, I might part with a few.

I'm going to have a filter made as big as a BHAF but with a (offset angled outlet) that will fit stright in our heat shields, unlike the BHAF's. It will also have an inverted cone on the end that will pull cold air out of the fender hole.

This filter will be made with the same stuff that K+N, AFE and the others use. The man told me that the filter wouldn't cost much more then we are paying for our BHAF's, But flow alot more.

My question is how many of you want me to get these made and are interested in getting one? I will have to buy 50 to get them made, We might even get them sold through this store.
I'm not trying to make any money, just trying to get a BHAF replacement.

I don't know about 1st gens maybe someone can chime in about the differance between 1st + 2nd HS's

I'm not trying to do a group purchase, I'm trying to find out if this is worth my time and effort to get the filter company to make a replacement for the paper BHAF's And if a filter like this will help all the people with HS's and BHAF's now who dont have 200.00-400.00 to upgrade to a cold air system with a quality filter.

Like I said this is not for profit, its one member trying to help other members!

I also PMed jack about donating some HS's to the store to help with web site costs, but it seems to me that helping must not be the thing to do here, SORRY.
