NEW AERO FLOW IN AND ON!

Well my favorite person showed up today (the UPS guy), and handed me my aero flow muffler. It looked very nice and well built. Perfect size, 20" long for my install. I recently installed a HOG PERFORMANCE ss 4" system, I love the way it looks, sounds, and how it is built. But I did have a drone, at 2000 to 2150. Not that bad cause the RPM span is pretty close, but I wanted to see (experiment) how it would sound with the aero flow installed in front of the muffler. The install was easy, just section out a 14" peice, and install. Just made to loosen a few clamps, and then tighten them back up. I also ordered two new band clamps for the job. well it fits good, looks great and only real difference (for now) is a higher pitched whirling sound comming from the tip. I can not take the truck out yet, it is sitting on jack stands with most of it's suspension off waiting for me to finish another installation. When I do get it all back together I'll post on weather or not it silenced the drone.

Re:NEW AERO FLOW IN AND ON!

I finally got to take the truck for a drive, and see how the muffler does. It did quiet it down some, I still have a nice tone at just sitting there, and there is still enough "growl" ot let people know it isn't stock. But what I was wanting, was to get ridd of the drone I had at 2000-2100 rpm. It wasn't over beering, but anoying, and would onlt get worse when I would be towing. So I mounted the AERO muffler in front of my "real" muffler, and I think it help alot. The truck is alittle better at all rpm's, and alot better at 2000-2100. Was it worth the 225.00, I hope. It seems a little pricy for such a small peice, it is almost a 1/3 of what I gave for the whole 4"ss system. I'll let you know more as time goes on.
