Just got new (new 2 me) 02 dually ho,I'am pretty excited about getting it, has about 220 ks or 160 th miles give or take. My first question is how can i test to see if the lift pump and injection pump are up to par, and what would you guys recommend for a little umph.Will be using this truck mostly for towing about 5 ton and or so and all round hot rodding it.

Check lift pump pressure at filter housing or at vp44 if has shrader. Replace lift pump if won't carry at least 8-10 PSI at idle. Just not worth taking chance if has not been replaced recentlly.
If VP44 pump runs and has no codes your chances are good. Occasional stalling or dead pedal is another indication of VP failure in progress.
