How heavy is your trailer? You plan to tow in OD? I broke my 02 stock lock-up clutch (converter) at 6000miles towing my 12k RV, just using an ez. If you want abit more power RV275 will work.

The programers work, don't get me wrong but , just the stock transmission isn't that tuff. At that point it gets expensive in a hurry.

A valve body upgrade and aftermarket coverter would help out lots. Stay away from the low stall converter, so called towing converters.

Rv275's is a cummins injector typically found in cummins equiped motor homes? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there +/- 40hp over stock. And a set could be had for around $400

You probably could get a set from CUMMINS. But, the chances of you over paying go up a considerable amount. Most aftermarket injector vendors carry them. And carry them a lot cheaper. Just do a google search. Or you could contact Larry Ellis(Top) and see if he could get you a set through the DTR store. Helps keep this forum free.

Not sure what route your gonna take, but the first thing(s) I did was a 4" exhaust, FASS 150 LP, and a cold air intake. Made a noticeable difference. I ain't gonna win no races pulling a fifth wheel loaded with cows or hay, but I am not replacing my tires twice a year either. At this point if I had the extra dough, I might consider a smarty, but adding horsepower will put strain on other components. JMO

Oh ya and a full set of gauges (FP, EGT, BOOST) from the DTR store will give you a 30 - 50 HP increase. Someone here did a dyno test to confirm that, I think Lary has the info somewhere.

Haha. I guess I'm still waitin on my isspros to give me that 30-50hp wyo.I heard a DTR sticker is good for around 10 hp. But like wyo said. Let her breath. Intake, and exhaust. But don't get caught up in the hype of the CAI that claim 30 hp and 60 foot pounds. I think there a dyno run on here somehwere that confirms that. A bahf is more wallet friendly and cost effective and can be purchased at most auto parts stores. And I'm still not sold on the "cold air" claims. I mean really, how cold is it after its spun through a turbo at tens of thousands of rpm. IMHO..that's why the good lord made intercoolers. And a simple 4 inch exhaust makes a big difference over the stock 3 inch system. Lower egt and some report quicker spool up. Just my .02 cents.

Finally, real world ideas about pulling and keeping drivability...not big turbo/big injector/big exhaust heat/more big exhaust heat and general pain. Did I mention lots of big exhaust heat?
