I have a 2001, and it has the solid tube going to the waste gate diaphram. I have the bleeder elbow that comes with the edge comp i am using, but no way to install. I have seen what they call a j hook. Any ideas?

From what I understand, all 2001 trucks with an automatic transmission have the hard line to the wastegate. Many of us simply use a turnbuckle to hold the wastegate closed. There are other methods as well. You will also need some type of boost fooler (my Edge EZ has it built in) so that the computer doesn't throw an overboost code and defuel. Make sure you post your truck's profile so that we know what you have.
