Those #10 plates are so tuneable. Since you do have an automatic..just move it back from stock 15-20k. I have installed a number of 10 plates...actually thats all I do install..

#10 works excellent in a '95
It will have the number stamped right on top if it's a TST plate.

move it back ? I read guys saying "shoved all the way forwards" here all the time?? I wouldn't know wher the stock local is unless it's clearly marked .

guess i could use a helpful link to that info too. I'm starting a folder so I don't have to ask the simple questions again.
thanx , DAVE

We just installed a #10 plate and a 3GSK in my Father-in-laws 95 auto.. Wow, what a nice upgrade.. Well worth it to get those RPM's up over 2500.

The plate was installed ahead of stock position, probably around 0.050 or so. I wouldn't run the plate much further ahead unless you are doing upgrades to the tranny. It would proably get grumpy with that much power..

FWIW..

If the AFC housing has never been opened up...most likely the plate is in stock position. When I remove a stock plate I mark the location. This way I have a starting point for the new plate. Just snug the mounting screws, then move it toward the firewall the 15-20k...then tighten it down. You move it full forward and your tranny will and you will be
