Need ecm repaired...Where?

I have a ecm that came off of my brothers 98.5 5 speed truck & I need to have it repaired. I've tried asking Bob Wagner by email & posts on here with no replies back as to Marco would or would not repair it....not sure why? Is there anyone else who could fix this thing for me?

Dodge house is the only place I know of. My trucks' in there right now getting the PCM reflashed for $100, if it can't be reflashed they're gonna replace it between $600-$900. That's all I could come up with.

Does anyone know what year ecm's are compatible with each other? Does auto or manual make a difference also?or are they year specific only? Because I have a couple laying around that might help. One is a mad catcher.

The 98.5-00 are the same, but tranny does matter. The ecm that I have is for a manual transmission NV4500. I have the part# & will post it soon.

That is ok, thanks for trying to help. I emailed Bob Wagner & told him that I had no high idle with the new Smarty software & asked if Marco could fix my ecm. He sent me the old Smarty software by email, but didn't mention fixing my ecm. Does Marco still repair them? I emailed Mads electronics & got no reply back from them either.

the ecm repairs have been put on hold. The repairs were more of a courtesy.

The 99 ecm's are available all the time

I am not sure what is going on that I can't get a reply, but you would think that after buying 2 Smarty's myself that a reply might be made.

I don't know how I missed this post from Bob, I guess I was typing, left the computer, come back & finished typing. I'm sorry that I said that you never replied Bob. How much for a 99 ecm? Do you take trades?

Is it a physical board problem, or....?
