Is my XZT + Working?

Long story short, vp died, decided to throw in some rv275's w/new pump. XZT + arrived (from this site) while truck was in the shop. Picked up the truck, ran like a scoulded ape w/275's & superchip.

Got home, installed XZT +, returned SC back to stock. Never ran w/ 275's only. Truck feels about the same as w/XZT+ as it did w/ SC.

Can not feel the diff. between switch settings, even in the off pos. Maybe the new injectors are throwing me off.

Mileage also fell off @ first but seems to be coming back.

Should I download the aggresive tune?

Help a bruthu out

Most diffinately down load the aggressive tune. That's where you'll feel the most difference. The factory tune that the XZT+ comes with is ok. It's just "nothing to write home about". The aggressive tune on the other hand is just that.....Aggressive. It fuels hard down low.

If your not feeling any difference between the switch positions with the factory tunes you've got an issue. Clean the plugs and reconnect. If your still not seeing a difference between settings contact Quad's tech line, they seriously will help you figure out what is going on. Once you got the box talking to your truck, then start swapping tunes until you find the one you like.

Go to WOT and then flip the switch from one extreme to the other. You should feel a difference for sure. I am enjoying the 2000 series tune, big difference from what came on the box. Going to try the 3000 just for fun.

For what its worth, I have been blowing my buddies with superchips away!

It's not yet available on the web site. A few of us got it to test awhile ago. Shoot me your Email address and I'll forward to you the +3000 tune that Quad sent me.

JPR Ram, thanks for the response, could you e-mail me the 3000 tune also kashinski@sbcglobal.net. Downloaded the 2000, could maybe feel a little diff.,hard to tell. Cleaned and rechecked connections. Data link @ truck did not have the plug in it, but looked OK.

Is there anyway to check voltage or (ohms),from that plug?

Are the aggresive tunes harder on the vp? Higher egt's? What about towing about 10k?

Thanks for the responses, Tony

EMail sent. None of the XZT+ tunes will harm the VP-44. Yeah, you will see a bit more higher temps on the EGT gauge. After all, you are dumping more fuel into the motor. And as for towing 10k lbs.......go for it. I tow over that quite often and I love it.
