Check out www.genosgarage.com they have alot of stuff for the Dodge Cummins. I shop there often. They have gray Mopar interior paint you are looking for, it is $8.95 a can. They also sell gauges, gauge mounts and everything in between!

Will do, thanks!

I've got a minor exhaust leak coming from the #2 manifold gasket, gonna pull the EM and replace all six, figured I'd go ahead and tap for the pyro gauge while I've got it off (with the benefit that I can make sure without a doubt the hole is clean and no debris hits the turbo). Any thing else I should do/check while I've got it off?

and if I decide to go with the 4k gsk, how difficult is it for a shadetree to swap the valve springs?

Go with the 4k, you won't regret it. The springs are not difficult to install at all, just have a good magnet handy just in case It's just nice to be able to whack the throttle at 3200 and have your butt firmly planted in the seat. I rarely go over 3300, but just knowing it's there is cool! Not much to check while the manifold is off. If anything, they can (the manifold) and will shrink over time. Look to see if the bolts around #1 are bent and if the gasket is creeping out around them. Not the end of the world, but it will crack at some point, requiring an aftermarket manifold designed to cure that issue.

Ah, great heads-up, exactly the sort of thing I wanted to look for. How detrimental is it to these motors to run them past 3k rpms, assuming the egts aren't dangerously high?

The valves will float at or about 3500. Many have run them past that with stock valve springs with no problem. Others have failed, lol! I ran 4k's for a few months before I upgraded valve springs, just was careful with the revs. Saw 3600 several times in that period. No issues. As for the engine itself, you won't hurt a 12v turning 4k, and the sound is pure evil
