my diesel cherry popped!
I finaly made it to a diesel only event, it was at Texas diesel nationals in Baytown and wow that was fun! This was the first time I had seen diesel drags ( besides street racing around town) and wow I have a lot of modifying to do. The sled pulls were awesome I have seen trucks pull before but never a fully modified truck such as off constintly. Every one was friendly and had a great time. When we left the event after it was over there was a convoy of diesel trucks going down I 10 and I have never seen a four lane interstate blacked out from exhaust smoke for several miles. All of gassers were pulling over and waiting for the smoke to clear, that was way cool. I am for sure going to try and make it to more events. Hopfully I can have more mods put on by next season so I can enter without breaking (as much) and have a chance to be competetive.
Oh yeah, they're awesome. If I didn't dump all my money into my rockcrawler and mudbogger, I'd definitely build my 12v for those drag and/or sled events.
So either my other toys or the girlfriend must go. And I think we all know which'll go first!
Edit: She was giving me the evil eye as I wrote that. Apparently "Well daddy can just go get his happy *** a better paying job if he wants more toys".
But a BS in basket weaving only takes you so far
