I usually get 14 MPG driving very lightfooted. I though it was my injectors making my mileage so low, but I let my buddy put my stage 5's in his H.O. and it bumped his mileage from 20 to 26 MPG!! I don't get it. I guess every truck is different.

I think I would have to fill that tank and do the hand calculations myself, before I could buy a 6 mpg increase! No offense to your friend but....??

We did the hand calcuations 3 times and I did fill the tank up myself because I had him drive me somewhere. I was in the truck. Believe me

I get 17-18 highway 15-16 city, and 10-13 when following my friend in his mustang. (Mostly WOT) lol :P Can't wait to see what the stage 3 jammers do to it.

Ok. I've had 4 different sets of injectors in my CTD and never saw 1 mpg difference. Must be an HO thing.

I know HO's love injectors, but it still blew my mind.

I have an auto w/ 3.55's and 265 BFG AT.
I think there are probably a couple of factors in my low MPG.
1. TC not locking up (ATS on the way so that should help)
2. Haven't changed the fuel filter since I got the truck.
3. Over sided tires and not recallibrating the speedometer

so I'm probably getting better MPG than my odometer is showing.

So any guesses on what the difference in speed/distance is from stock to 265 or 285's (what I want next)??

I have 285's
and after I do my miles % gallons I multiply my answer by 1.08 to get my final mpg's. do a google search on tire size correction.

I guess you would need to multply your miles per gallon by 1.04
google it.

13-15 unless loaded then way bad, when I go back East or to Calif my overhead jumps to 18-20? not sure how reliable that is!? the math still says 13-15 regardless, wish I lived at a lower elevation it seems to help.
