moving the fuel tank for 4 link

I need to remove my stock tank and get 2 smaller tanks, one in front and one behind the rear axle. can I just get any old tank and use it? or are diesel tanks made from something different?
what about a fuel pump, is the stock pump in the tank or is it on the frame somewhere? what do you guys suggest?

I saw on another site someone used a tank out of a 93 s-10 blazer and another one from a 95 suburban, ending up with 72 gallon capacity, but those were also installed in a chevy gasser.

any tank will work, diesel tanks are nothing special. the pump on your truck is located on the side of the motor.

You could get one designed for your bed and just mount it there. I think someone also make an AUX tank that replaces your spare tire.

the bed one is a good idea but I need all the bed space I can get, plus I want to keep my center of gravity as low as possible too

Check into the race car fuel cells. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes.
You can get aluminum tanks built to whatever specs you desire. I would also avoid steel tanks. Most diesel tanks are aluminum or plastic for a reason, rust is VERY bad in the fuel system.
