More injector/turbo talk..

Hey all.
So right off the bat Ill let ya know.. My truck is my DD as well as work truck. Lots of stop and go around town with 5-10 k lbs depending on the day, and I turn the truck down to plow snow as well.
My goal is 450 rwhp, and I like to get high 13's in the 1/4.

Im in the middle of negotiating a deal to swap my Hybrid + $ for a 62/65/13ss from HTT.

Im wondering if some DDP 110's would be a good match set of sticks for this turbo, Along with whats in my sig.

Ive been planning on mach 1.6's but I dont think ill be able to hit 450rwhp with the hybrid and 90 sticks at 4,200 ft. So Upgrade?
What you guys think?
TIA, Ian.

If you're going for 450 why not 500? I think you'll regret the 62/65 but I've said that before. Send Bridleman a pm and ask his opinion, he tows horses all over out west... with my old Mach 4.5's. OK, I'll shut up now.

Mike before I even opened this thread I saw that you had replied and knew instantly where your vote would be haha.

Im second guessing the fore mentioned change up now.
Im just so pleased with how my hybrid has worked for me.. ( 39lbs boost and 1500* tops at WOT.. grrreat for towing) I dont wanna mix up a good thing, but at the same time really wanna take it up a step.

I cant remember.. Why do you say ill regret a 62/65 again? IYHO?
Also, what about a BD super B with some 1.6's and my J/A?

It's not the front side of the turbo I disagree with, it's the 65 wheel on the turbine side that I don't like.. A 62/65 might support 450-500 hp but it won't do it nicely. Look for a 62/71/14.

You could tow with a Super B Special (64/71/14) but I don't think you would like it at your altitude. I ran one as a single with Mach 6's and now it's my top charger with Mach 7's and I have no issues towing but I don't live at 4200 ft. I don't like to give "advice" unless I've done it myself.

Like I said before, contact bridleman. He's had his fair share of issues with selecting the right turbo for his towing applications. He lives out in MT and tows over some big passes around the country, so he'll be able to relate what he's seen while towing.

Man you really got me thinkin about steppin it up now Mike haha.
A 62/71/14 sounds real good. Much better then 64/71 at my alt.

If I did Mach 4's and 62/71/14, what kinda hp will I be lookin at?
Reason I ask is cause My DTT TC in only a super single.

Ive realized in reading up that Ill be able to tow around anything with a NOT TOO extreme set up, My biggest concern now comes to plowing, I need the quick spool and power right there for me every push. I cant be waitin for the turbo to spool up ya know.

I shot Bridleman a PM so Ill see what he has to say with his alt.
Thanks again for all the info and advice via experiance.
Ian
