More HP

I know this will sound stupid to many but I have an 02 with a Van Aaken module on it. I was told if I also used a programmer like a Superchip or Hyertech that I could increase the HP even more. Is that true can you use both? Thanks in advance for answering, I'm sure it will make me smarter.

thanks

I guess I will try it since a guy gave me an unlocked programmer he had. If it doesn't work I can always set is back the way it was. I always appreciate the help.

Never stack boxes that claim to advance timing. Doing so is bad advice, and just because you know plenty of people doing it with no problems doesn't make it wise.

I've been running stacked for 70K miles......it works fine. the low end hit w/VA&supperchips together is awesome, the edge stuff just is not as agressive on the bottom as the VA

I suppose now would be where I post the link to the engine that melted from stacking an EZ with a Banks Ottomind??

Anyhow, do as you please. It's only my *opinion*-- no better than anyone else's.

If timing in both boxes stays fully active, you won't like it and neither will your engine!

Garybg1 - I would test it carfully and softly to start. Actually, I would not do it at all

Look for a fueling box such as blue chip or tst if you want to stack boxes. Even a blue chip apb for $500 would add an advertised 85 hp and it'd play nicely with your va. Or sell the va and buy the smarty =P

Not going to try it.

Well I guess you talked me out of it. I am not trying to make a race truck and I sure do not want to hurt my truck engine. I only pull two trailers, a four horse aluminum trailer and a boat. So I really do not need a lot more hp than I have I just always like to get the most I can without having to start modifying stuff or changing out the stock for something else. The simple stuff is easy for me and it has helped. Thanks for all the advice. This has to be the best group and the most experianced group I have conversed with.
