I didn't and I don't believe you need to. For one, the only thing on my system that is bolted to the bed is the stacks themselves. The y-pipe just sits there. I also drilled a 4.5" hole in my bed to allow for a little bit of movement. You've also got all of the joints in the exhaust that will flex a little. Not to mention that part of the exhaust is still bolted on hanger.

One word on stacks. Be careful. I just got two tickets with them. One for speeding (90 in a 70) and the other for tailgating. All because the cop noticed the stacks. He said if it hadn't been for them, he woulda never noticed me. Oh well. At least he didn't say anything about the smoke or the legality of stacks and straight pipe.

I make a point to open my slider whenever I'm off the highway--it reminds me just how skull-splitting loud that thing is! Oh, and I don't think my truck will do 90, so I guess I'm good there, hehe.

Mine will do 117. Not that I've tried. Let's put it this way, the cop was 1/4 mile away on an overpass and he heard me coming and that's what got his attention. How's that for loud?

Why were you going 90 and tailgating anyway? Stacks or not, that'll get the attention of any cop that's running radar on a section of highway.

Between harvey and southwest parkway soutbound on 6. Cop wasn't even doing radar until he heard me coming. He said if I had let off he wouldn't have been able to clock me but since I kept on going he was able to get me. Oh well. Live and learn I guess. And dd4x4, your one to talk about speeding. You drive fast everywhere. I just do it in spurts.

Two Texas Tickets!
That's almost the cost of One new set of sticks?
Ouch!
I got a REALLY Chicken-XXXX ticket last week. $85.00 for "Failure to yield while exiting a private drive". (coming out if a Convenience Store). The cop said he would not have noticed, if not for my smoke! Probably would have been $185.00 if I had Stacks.

Yeah a comp box will get you a ticket(s) too. Don't ask me or my wallet how I know.

Oh and is that Y pipe 4" and you stacks are 5" correct? I've been throwing the idea of running 6" miters, but can't decide.
