Talking Mmmmmm Stacks

Well I bit the bullet and ordered the grand rocks stack kit. Great looking kit. Nice welds, good looking pipe, nice heavy duty clamps, comes with everything you need, the directions are lacking a little though but oh well. The kit went in very easily. A lot easier than I was expecting. I didn't realize how many different ways you have to align for them to look just right. It was worth it though. They look down right wicked and sound even better. The smoke comes out nice and even and rolls right off the tailgate onto the poor sap behind me. With the windows down they are noticeably louder. Almost anoyingly, but not quite. The greatest part is that even while cruising at 70, 75, even 80 mph there was not a hint of drone. You could hear a faint rumble in the back ground and that's it. It's great. Now, when you stand on them that's a different story. They are loud and in your face. Oh I love these things. I turn heads all over the place. I'll get some pics up once they are approved. Anybody on the fence about this kit you should get it. Well worth the $375 I paid for it. Now it's time to wash the truck so it looks as shiny as the stacks.

There's a video of the stacks. That run was made with the comp on 2x2 with the map sensor unplugged.

Blue, if you do not slow down, I will never be able to catch you. We seem to be close, but once you upgraded the turbo you left me behind again. And now STACKS!! I am green with envy.

Don't worry bud. You've still got a full DTT tranny where as all I have is the VB. I think that definately puts you one step ahead of me. When you dynoed 299 did you have the wire tapped?

I had the wire tapped, but the MAP sensor was unplugged. My bad, waiting to get back on a dyno at Spring Fling at Kauffmans.

I would love to stack my 98. The wife even said it needs it. Trouble is, the local PD have already told me that it is too loud. (It's stock).

After the next local election, depending on who wins, maybe...... I do have two stacks off of a military 2 1/2 just sitting there waiting.

Nice.

Excuse the quality. For some reason my camera was quirky.

I do think I MAY have stepped on my pointy parts a time or two with this one gentleman. He has hunting rights on the property next to mine. I had to inform him he needed to relearn the property lines.

So, stock is too loud, rear windows almost??? to dark, doesn't like my attitude.......

New mayor will fix it tho, his F350 is straight piped.

I would have told him that stock is completely legal so he can kiss my behind and that the rear windows can be spray painted black and be perfectly legal so get off my back. I'll bet him and I would get along great.

I'll bet your EGT's are a little toasty. You definately need a new turbo. It really opens up the top end.

Looks nice man. Mine should be done by next week. Just have to squeeze it between work and school.
