Miss at 1800+

Well I was giving a ricer some smoke at a light and I noticed that I have a miss at 1800+. I can only notice it in neutral and its for sure a miss. Feels like a v-8 with a plug wire off. When driving I cant notice or feel it at all. What could this be and where do I go from here. I checked the codes and I get 0500, 1693, 0177. A few weeks ago I got the dead pedal and the code for the vp I just cant remember what one. Could that be the problem that the pump is screwed. Everything is normal as far as gauge readings. Thanks for the help

I'm guessing it's the pump I'm sorry to say. The other codes seem to be unrelated.
P0177 Water In Fuel Excess water found in fuel by water-in-fuel sensor.
P0500 (M) No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal A vehicle speed signal was not detected.

Has your WIF light been on? How long since you did a fuel filter change? How long has your injectors been in? Did it start doing this suddenly, or was it gradual? I'd hate to condemn the VP so quickly when there are cheaper avenues to explore. Since it does it in neutral, can you trace it to a certain cylinder? If yes, I'd swap injectors around and try and isolate it again. If it moved to another cylinder, it will be the injector, if it stayed, then you're looking at a VP, or possibly inside whatever cylinder. Valve could be not opening/closing all the way, poor compression, etc.

It's most likely the pump, but follow Tate's approach and rule out a bad injector and water in the fuel.

The WIF light was on for about 10 min after I washed the truck. It seems to do it every time I wash underneath then it goes off. Fuel filter is about 2k old and I have 20psi at all times. In the am I will have a buddie work the throttle and ill use the temp gun and try to find the cyl. I don't know if it help but I have been getting about 9-10mpg being light on the pedal. Thanks guys for the quick replies.

Well I went to check the exhaust port temps today and the temp gun was broke. So I changed the filters and water sep. All the fuel looked good and no water in that. Pressure did not change at all still 20psi. I noticed that I can only feel it in neutral. When driving I cant feel it at all. If it was a injector there would be smoke at idle correct? Could a valve be to tight? I am at a loss. Thanks for the help

Have you tried cracking lines to try and isolate which cylinder it is at? You could also lash all your valves, see if you have any that are too loose or too tight. I'd start swapping injectors around once you narrow it to a particular cylinder, to see if it moves around.

Well today I got a new temp gun and after I ran the truck I checked the temps and they were within about 35 with 3 and 4 by the turbo being the hottest. This makes me believe I have a bad pump. Does this sound right
