mild bombing for an 03' so
Re:mild bombing for an 03' so
Hey there,<br> I have a 03 SO 5spd, California model (why I still live here, I don't know!) 2500 4x4 lwb. I bought an edge ez, and for about $450, I am very happy. When uloaded, the performance gain is quite noticible, but my truck just isn't a real drag racing machine either way. You get more benefit out on the open road at highway speeds. However, were the ez really shines is when towing. To be honest, coming from a Dodge v10, and then a Ford v10, I was absolutely shocked at how poorly the mighty cummins pulled my 27' 5th wheel. It could not even hold 4th gear up the first hill (5% 2 mile) I tried. I seariously felt like crying after spending all that money and finally getting rid of that canker sore f350 to wind up with something that I don't think could out pull my '89 suburban with 350! Well, with just the edge ez on level 2, the truck performs awesome pulling the trailer. I recently pulled the trailer and family from the central coast up to central Oregon on a week long, 2,000 mile excursion, and the truck pulled everthing in 4th or 5th with no fuss, unless some one would pull out in front of me and cause me to slow down enough to go into third. There is a big gap from 3-4, and on a steep hill, it takes some serious revving to be able to catch 4th. Anyways, sorry about the ramble, but to make a long story short, I would really recommend an edge ez to some one wanting a quick and relativley inexpensive power boost to the 03 cummins.
