Mechanical Boost gauge

Ok I'm going to be installing a mechanical boost gauge, where is the best place to install it? My buddy has his on the back of the intake horn is this the best place for one? Thanks,

They made a "boost bolt", makes the boost gauges the easiest of them all to install (literally).

Some people do drill and tap the horn, but with an 01 and up, I say why?

'Cuz it means you get to pull the wrenches out, and amaze your non-mechanically inclined friends with you proficiency in drilling & tapping for the fitting.

To the left or the right (I cant remember of hand) of the map sensor theres a 3/4 npt plug. You could remove it and reduce it down to 1/8npt.

Slim's is the easiest way. There is a 1/2" square drive plug right by the fuel filter. Take it out and install a 3/4" x 1/8" bushing then your tubing.
