MBRP performance series exhaust

Did anyone install the new performance series exhaust from MBRP? At about $249 its about $75 cheaper than the aluminum installer series. Why is it so much cheaper? What is the difference?

maybe its cat-back vs turbo-back exhaust, which will make it cheaper. Don't know just an idea.

if your going to buy an exhaust make sure its turbo back..IMO cat back is useless if you want to start throwing some performance at your truck

It is cheaper because MBRP made the tail pipe in two sections instead of one and they do not offer the free Stainless Tip with it. Other than that it is the same MBRP quality.

Are the hangers welded to the pipe like other MBRP systems, or are they welded to the clamps?

Depending on the individual fit and function, some are welded on the pipe and some are welded to the clamp. The photo I have of a system here in front of me shows the rear tailpipe section has the hanger welded to the pipe whole the other two hangers are welded to the clamps.

Larry,

If I were to purchase the performance exhaust through the 'shiny new DTR store' - could you have it shipped to me from the Ontario production shop instead of coming across the border?

I have done so in the past, it would not be a problem as long as MBRP had the system you want in stock

ok, that's great to know. is $250 going to be a long standing price for the store, or is it just a sale price right now?

thanx,
jason
