MBRP exhaust

anybody here have an MBRP single exhuast(DPP and many others sell em)

I was wondering what the in cab drone is like from the t-409 single 4" kit

and how well did it fit when you put it on, was it a true bolt on kit or did it have to be modded............

The MBRP kit is excellent, both in terms of fitment and drone. We actually haven't had a single customer complaint about drone from an MBRP on a 2nd Gen truck.

I have the single 4" turbo back kit on my truck. The sound is great, very lound when you give her some go juice, but under regular driving conditions, it is slightly louder then stock. It has a nice rumble to it at idle as well. As far as installing, it was pretty much bolt on, but i did have to cut one of the pipes so i would have the proper length. They sell one kit for all modles, it comes with different length piping to fit the model you have. Good luck

Hey there, I am going to be getting an MBRP exhaust soon, I was wondering what is the difference between T-304 and T-409 Stainless Steel?

409 is a cheaper grade of stainless.

diesel_kid,

The 409 is a little better grade of stainless than the stock stainless is, it is still a magnetic stainelss and will get gray/brown and depending on where you live might get some corrosion spots on it. The 304 has a high content of nickel and chromuim and is NOT magnetic, it's a bear to bend and is for most all purposes corrosion proof for exhaust use anyway. The nickel and chromuim is why it costs more too.

Alright that sums up alot, because I was always taught "Good Stainless Steel is not magnetic" and I have always used this method for checking for rip offs.

Thanks for the info, I think I will go with the 304.

These guys pretty much summed it up: great kit, good fit, good quality. These guys do a really good job with their hangers too - they fit perfect. I love the sound of this exhaust too. I used to be straight piped but got tired of the drone. This exhaust is nearly as loud as the straight pipe when you floor it (only none of the rasp) but has none of the drone when cruising - I love it!
