I blocked off the wastegate, just plugged up the hole with a 1/8 NPT plug

also slid the fuel plate back towards the cab, maybe just forward of the middle. I was running too dang hot and got tired of driving by the pyro so much

my boost is just shy of 35 lbs now, auctually I can get 37 w/o an air filter on but with stock air filter its 34-35 or so.

the silencer ring is intact, I still hear some turbo whine but not much.

no boost leaks anywhere, its holding 40 lbs air pressure when tested

pretty well pleased with how its running, no not a hotrod but a good daily driver and should be getting great economy

Dumb question...did you cut the waste gate line off? Mine is pinched right now and maxing out at 20psi, and I'd like to plug the line, but I don't know how to disconnect it from the waste gate??

The hose should just be clamped to the elbow on the turbo, you can pinch the line off or unscrew the elbow and put a plug in. I would replace the elbow with an adjustable one myself, then you can set how much boost you want, however 20# is about right for stock fueling I think. To get more boost you need more fuel, I would say.

just what I did, 1/8 NPT fits in there just fine.

I havn't hit 40 lbs yet, but 35 isn't too hard.

gonna keep a good eye on it and probably get an adjustable one
