Map sensor

Has any one with the juice unplugged there map sensor? I did mine and it ran crappy and sets a dtc. I know it works great with the comp my buddy did it no codes. When you guys unplug it do you unplug it from the map sensor or the wire that plugs into the chip? Thanx

The comp has a boost fooler built in to it. It intercepts the signal from the MAP sensor, modifies it, then it sends it to the ECM. So in an overboost condition, the comp will tell the ECM its seeing 21 psi, or whatever the max is without being overboost. When you unplug the MAP sensor with the Comp installed, the original harness is still plugged into the Comp, so it never knows that it is disconnected from the MAP sensor. If you unplug the MAP sensor without the Comp, the ECM sees a dead end when trying to send/recieve signals from the MAP, and sets of a trouble code.

Map

I unplugged the wire from the map sensor this morning and it set a dtc and the light came on. I figured the juice was a boost fooler because I can make 32 psi. The truck idled fine but had no power and didnt even smoke that much. When I plugged it back in it went like a raped ape, lift a big posi in front of my shop, and made alot more smoke . Now is there an actual boost fooler that you can buy that will work with my juice? TIA,

Paul
