Magnetic Fuel Conditioning

I'm new to the Diesel thing, and I want my Cummins to last a long time, and I want good fuel efficiency, should I invest in one of these? The ones I have seen so far are the Dieselcraft http://www.dieselcraft.com/productinfo.html
and the Algae-X http://www.algae-x.net/products-lgx.htm .
THe Algae-X site has some good information and a lot of letters from customers raving about how much better fuel mileage they are getting. I wanted a second opinion, so, do you guys use these things? Heard about em? Do they work? Can they possibly do any harm? Are there any other products that will improve my fuel milage and the life of my engine that I am better off spending my money on, and won't void my warranty?

Re:Magnetic Fuel Conditioning

I wouldn't worry bout your engine to much. They are rated for their first rebuild around 500,000 miles. I pull 15 to the gallon in the city and 22 or so on the highway. That's with 305/70/16 tires, an auto, and 3.54 gears. All you need to do to keep your fuel clean and stuff like that, is run some Power Service, Stanadyne, or similar diesel fuel cleaners through your truck bout once every other tank full. I only do mine once a month. I mention PS and Stanadyne because I have used them both before with very good results. I am not affiliated with them in anyway. Just a happy customer.

Hey Gary, quit knocking the tooth fairy. I did pretty good by her growing up. Every tooth I left under my pillow at night was changed into money by the morning so she must be real.

Don't forget to buy one of those tornado things for the air intake to go with the magnets! ;D

Re:Magnetic Fuel Conditioning

Lets see, swamp land for sale, bridge for sale, hmmm, yeah, it probably works. Dont forget the retrofonic rebalancing air turbolater in the air intake hose, the flugle pin for the osmutronic woo woo valve, and the differential dispersant wobulator for the axles. : :

Seriously, forget all that crap and buy good clean fuel (not from a station that only sells 50 gallons a month), use a fuel additive every now and then (I use it every tank full), use good oil change practices (whatever oil you decide to use), and run it.
