Mach 3's at idle

For those of you with Mach 3's, do they burn clean at an idle(250egt)? I noticed today that they make a slight haze at idle. Also when the engine is cold it lopes, but when warmed up it's smooth. Other than that, which is not a big deal, they're great!

A light haze and small lope is normal for that large of an injector.

Sometimes a reflash for winter fuel helps. Sometimes just disconecting the battery cable for a few hours helps too.

Since you have the ETH....I bet that truck will rip up the EGT gage. Your big B-1 should help the EGT's tremendously.

Mine produced a small amount of haze at idle. Could really only see it at night. They didnt lope at all, really smooth idle.

With cooler weather, I'm starting to see the blue haze the first few blocks after cold start. Still, it's nothing to make me run less than these Mach6's in winter.

Also, I'm not seeing any lope at idle... Maybe the DD cam is worth something after all?

On mine the mach3s don't lope at idle. And there's virtually no haze at idle too once warmed up.
Maybe the smoke can sometimes be attributed to valve clearance.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I got a pair of HOT 3's.
BTW not only do the egts rip, so do my BF 295's in 4th gear on dry pavement with the Comp on 5x5.

No haze & I passed the emissions test @ 0.6% opacity. I don't know how that compares to others, but I was

Mine had a lope to them until I "temporarily" replaced the IAT witha 22K ohm resistor. No lope or studder! I've cleaned the IAT but doesn't help. A new IAT is on order.
