Luke's Link or New Track Bar??

Can I install the luke's link on my old track bar? Or do i need to get a new track bar first? I can get a lifetime warranty trackbar from autozone..:-D

I would do the Luke's link. I put it on my worn out Dodge trak bar and it works great. My experience with Autozone is that lifetime warranty part tend to be replaced quite a bit. It's OK as long as you don't mind changing the part out repeatedly.

It's real hard to find.

I put one on my 99 several years ago and have had no problems. I got pics somewhere of the whole job if you like.

Oh, also.. How well does the Luke's link hold up if I get a 2-3" lift?

I've installed several Luke's on different trucks since they first came out at least four years ago.
Not one has come back.

I'm thinking of maybe going with a 5" lift now... Would I still need a track bar drop bracket with the Luke's Link?

I've also installed several LukesLinks- first of all an amazing product it really saves a lot of dough. I don't think it would interfere with a track bar drop bracket.- but if you go for 5" of lift the LukesLink will not compensate for your need of either a different track bar or a drop bracket.
You will have to check if you have a stock trackbar or if it has been replaced with a Moog- the LukesLink will only work with a trackbar with 1 5/8" diameter of the upper link. (Moogs have 2")

Hey you're right, I hope the previous owner didn't replace the OEM track bar with a Moogs... I don't think so, but that would be a waste. I already ordered the Luke's Link; it's sitting in my truck. I would like to go with DT track bar but I can't afford it right now... Is there a specific drop bracket you recommend? I heard the Skyjackers were junk.

I'd look at solidsteel.biz- what kind of lift do you want to run?

I'm going to be running 2" steel spacers with 3" lift coils. Drop pitman arm, steering stabilizer drop bracket, track bar drop bracket, and new control arms.

You should at least add a Darins Steering stabilizer with the drop pitman arm...
If possible get a 3rd gen trackbar conversion that also does the 5" drop.
