Smile lower turbo with htb2

I was wondering what a good twin turbo setup could be, together with the htb2 from high tech turbo, and the horsepower and boost it will make,
having a 215 pump with a #6 plate, 370 injectors, clutch of course,

the htb2 is too large of a turbo to use as the small charger and too small to use as the big charger if u plan on towing at all. ive been debating this also and after talking with the guys at Piers, they say the best combo is a hx35/hybrid or hx40 with a 12cm housing. the larger turbo should be a ht3b. they say the hx35/ht3b combo should be good till about 550 hp and still spool really really fast. theres just too much lag with anything larger. it all depends on what your gonna do with your truck.

It's been done with an HTB2/14 cm2 and a B-2...have seen it on a 1st Gen. Best with a 12 cm2 turbine housing and will need an external wastegate. Ok if you already have the HTB2...or are going for BIG hp. Good match would be a B-2.

Horsepower - In the right set up.,,,,easily make 600+ hp.

Like rj said, the htb2 with a 12cm housing and external wastegate would be killer. The htb2/12 spools about as fast as a stock hx35 and moves more air than a hx40.

The htb2 is a 12 cm housing, how much is the b-2 and where can i find it cheapest, we bought some things from piers... it takes a time, untill we get it here in MEXICO!

or would the HT3B be better?

thx for the inputs. its nice to hear about those 600+ HP! do i need more fuel by then? (gotta 215 pump, plate, 370 injectors...)

HT3B would be cheaper...but, I think not big enough to match your top turbo.
The B-2's are made in Arizona or New Mexico. Talk to Olie Poole (biggest B-1 turbo dealer I know)...could have one drop shipped form the MFG, I would think.

Someone else can chime in on your fueling...I'm not that knowledgable on setting up 12v's.

Good Luck,

You are gonna need at least

a zero plate, laser cut delivery valves, 370s as the smallest injector, higher pump timing, and possibly if you run out of fuel an FASS system, or some honed injectors, possibly F1's

I agree a B-2 would be a place to start.

I would not worry about what else you might need. Build the setup and tune it after the fact. The 215 pump is the main ingredient so you are all set with that one
