losing power
Ok here is the deal. Truck has comp, mach 1.5's, and BHAF with a straight pipe on the other end of the stock turbo. Here is what seems to be getting worse and worse. Going through the 6 speed and right about 1800-2000 rpm's the truck has a flat spot that it just has a hrad time getting over. Keep in mind it is more pronouced at normal acceleration. I was wondering if any of you have had this or known anybody to go through the same thing. Oh yeah the truck is an 02 with 5 inch lift with 35's.

It sounds like the APPS has a worn spot on it where it isn't providing more fuel. Have you adjusted the POT on the back of the APPS this for while it lasted on mine made a noticable difference. Mine has this from 850 rpm up. It revs and screems but not much power from it. Although! Does your engine sound tinny when it is running??? Mine looses interest in accelerating after 2000 rpm.

I've had problems in the past with my APPS. Gotten to know the reset real well. But what is the POT? The engine sounds the same as it always has, but it just hesatates around the 2000 rpm mark. Looks like i'll be looking into an new APPS.

The POT that I was talking about is on the back of the APPS if you remove it it will say a voltage on it and this is maybe the brake over voltage of the diode there ??? When this is exceded then the cct starts to operate ??? It is the one where one has to measure the voltage on the orange wire on the PCM is the best place and adjust the voltage with a ?? 15 or 20 size torx. I gave mine a light swat with a small ball peen hammer and it was free to adjust. Very little movement will adjust it to what you need. Mine was 0.138 volts low so it made a big difference for (awhile) the way it accelerated. Much better then any of the cryslurrr boys have ever done on my truck. JUst need a multi meter and some small pin to go through the insulation of the orange wire. Hope this helps.
