Cool Looking to save a buck with Mods!

Finally saved a few ducks to make some changes to the 98 12er. Looking to do the following mods but also want to try to save enough $ for others....... So I am looking for deals on these wheels (best place to get quality and save ings too?

BHAF
Aluminized Turbo back Exhaust, kinda like to see duals @5" but 4" wiil do...
Gauges, White face, 3 gauge dash mount...
#10 plate with elbow, maybe 3k GSK

Here is what I am starting with:
98, 4X4, Auto, long wheel base, Quad cab, 33X12.5X16.5 BFG AT on 12X16.5 Eagle alloy 51 Series wheels, Luke's links on ALL, New Moogs, DSS, Home rebuilt steering Gear, Stock AFC forward, Star wheel adjusted, Stock straight piped. All this at 176, 000 and going strong.......

I'd do the 3K before the plate. Wider powerband without more torque- better for the whole powertrain. (Low end torque is the enemy number 1 for the automatic tranny)
4" will be OK for maaaaaany more horses than you go for at the moment (you'd be ok with that straight pipe for the time being IMO)

True, but the ramp on the bottom end of the #10 is the saving grace. With a stock auto, I'd put the plate in stock position and see how the tranny likes it. Will depend on what kind of shape it is in. I could slip my stock tranny without engine mods. The Goerend tranny solved that problem.

I have the 3K GSK, pump timing and 191 DVs, on the to do list.

Bought my gauges from Diesel Injection Service Best prices I have found.

PDR sells the TST plates. Not sure for the DTR members, but the TDR members get a discount also.

Bought my exhaust (well, before the stacks) from www.bigexhaust.com Have heard great things about Rip Rook also.

I also agree on doing the governor spring kit first, and if you dont have enough for a plate after that, then slide the stock one full forward. I got my gauges at www.dieselmanor.com. They are enhanced visibility isspro's. Pictures in my gallery.
