I have a friend that has a 3rd Gen 03. He just got a Bully Dog programmer and is saying he is getting 30mpg in his truck! I have an 01 Ram 2500 and was looking for something similar that I can use to program. I do alot of highway back and forth to work - want to be able to put to performance for those times and be able to move back to tow when I need it. Anything out there for an 01?

welcome to DTR. get a smarty, do a search on here and read up on it. THEIR GREAT!!! But don't expect no 30 mpg's, the over head mpg counter is not correct with mods on the truck, you have to do it on paper 30 is a little hard to get to

 

Either your friend is going off the overhead monitor that is clearly way off, or he doesn't know how to divide.

No way he is getting 30mpg.

For your 2001, if it's a manual I'd get a Smarty. If it's an auto like my '01 I'd get and Edge Juice w/Attitude.

 

Check the classifieds on this website. There is a smarty there for sale.....
