A little advise before ordering FASS

I installed my FASS system last week and all is going well. The only problem I had (and I'm not sure it's a problem) is that I only have 8psi at idle. That appeared to be a bad thing at first, but then I took it for a drive. With my comp on 5x5, I lowest I could get the needle to read was a hair under 6psi.

The low pressure reading at idle was still kinda depressing. I have been watching my needle dive for months now, I was hoping to see constant teens.

I made a call to Doug at ADT(smokindiesel.com) where I bought the system and asked what the deal was. He told me that the manufacturers of the FASS have been installing a weaker spring that regulates the pressure. They had problems with people having hard start problems with stock trucks and the FASS with 15-17psi.

Doug did have the heavier springs in stock and sent one to me at no charge.

I wish I would have known this before I ordered the system and I would have asked for the heavier spring from the get go. Now, I have to drain the system to put in the new spring.

Mine has 15 at idle and 15 at WOT.
It is a little harder to start but only another two seconds or so.

I purchased my FASS in July. I have 13.5 at idle, 13 normal driving, and 12.5 WOT. I too was a little suprised since most of what I read indicated it should have been at 15psi. Without adding any more BOMBs, this setup works great for me. I wonder how wide of a range their "weaker" springs have.
