Question Listing HP at flywheel or Rear Wheel?

Just curious, how many people have their flywheel HP listed and not rear wheel?

Most of us don't have access to the facilities required to measure flywheel HP.

Oops, I voted on the poll thinking you were talking about the factory numbers. Back when I had mine listed they were rear wheel.

You can ask the dyno operator to 'comp' the numbers as if it were flywheel hp. This is done all the time with gassers. The comp number is basically a guesstimate of the drivetrain losses--like 25-30%. The higher the percentage number, the more hp your engine 'makes' on the chart.

RWHP is really all that matters in my book.

You don't need a dyno operator to comp #s - anyone can guess those... that's what bench-racing is all about.

Can't know flywheel HP unless you measure it.
