You can run a 315 with a leveling kit and it looks pretty darn good I think!! And bushwacker makes some really nice flares for these trucks.

With 2" leveling Kit, the only tire that comes close to filling the wheel well and looking good, IMO, is the 315/75/16's. Love my Toyo A/T's. They handle well on Factory 8" aluminum wheels... with some rub in full over, tight turns!

I agree with the Bushwacker Flares. Nice quality, but no such thing as "not too expensive" when it comes to any brand of flares.

I run 315/75/16 BFG MTs and love them!!! Low road noise and look great IMHO!! I have the leveling kit and at first had some minor rubbing at full lock.. Some minor fender trimming and no rub at all!!

Running the 315 on the factory wheel should keep them farther inside the wheel well? I bet a 295 on the factory wheel w/ 2" leveling kit would look stock, but so much better. I am trying to find a combination where I can go bigger to fill up that huge fender well w/o a bunch of the tire being outside of it.

Very subjective thing, of course, but I don't think these (315's) stick out TOO far on factory 8" Aluminums. You? They don't blow anything around the mud flaps! Under...yes, but around the outsides...no. Nothing up on the fenders either.

Really anything other than a 315 with a leveling kit looks goofy!! RJ's truck looks very clean with the 315's on it....

2" leveling kit with 315's....... here to you go....!!

As for tires. I love my pro comps http://www.procomptires.com/allterrain.html

They have a 50,000 mile warranty. They are EXCELLENT in the snow and ice. GREAT ride and are very quite. I have been running them for over a year with about 20,000 miles on the tires and they look brand new....

I believe mine stick out a little further than RJs (really the only time I get crap down the side of my truck is when I am turning), but I believe that is becasue of my Weld wheels backspacing... However, I believe those who have stock wheels and run 315 have control arm rubbing with 315s (At full lock)... Correct me if I'm wrong

With Smarty there is plenty of take off power with 315's.... and with TST there is plenty of 'after take off' power.

315's cost maybe .2-.3 at a 1/4 mile track! The trade off is 2000 rpm at 80 mph, which is sweet!!

Cowboy, I think my preferences are similar to yours. The 315's will be about 1.5" taller. I'm running 285/75-R16 Bridestone Dueller AT Revos. So far they have provided good traction in the mud while not being noisy on the road. I think they are a good compromise between on road performance, and occasional offroad. If you want maximum offroad performance you will have to get a MT tire at the expense of faster wear, more road noise, perhaps less mileage, and decreased on road performance. The way I see it, I spend 99.9% of my time on road, so a tire that performs well on road makes sense. Compare tire performance on tirerack.com.

I would do a 295 if it was me. I have had 285's and 315's and IMO, the 315's look better, but the 285's drive and ride better, along with better MPG's. It also depends on what gearing you have.

I'm running 315 BFgoodrich KTO AT's on stock rims. there is a pic in my profile. untill you have a smarty, you will notic some lost, but the smarty brings it right back. I can still get 23mpg on the hwy.
