Juice w/ Atitude???

dose anyone know if it is true that you dont have to tap the vp44 with the juice and still get some of the power out of it and use the gauges .... i just droped too much money on a new one because my qzilla blew it up .......
...just give me some feedback on that i would appreicate it
thanks everyone,

yup, the juice will work without the wire tapped and the gauges will also work.
I left mine unhooked for 3 days after my new vp44. That was all that I could take I had to tap the new pump, the difference in power is unreal.

you do get some power gain but not very much and i dont think that you will be able to adjust the power settings if you dont tap it. I have had mine tapped for 30,000 plus miles with no problems

A dealer won't do it. You will have to go to the aftermarket to get it done if you don't want to do it yourself. I tapped the wire on my first pump, but on the new one I bought a stealth cover. Here is the link http://www.dieselperformance.com/ram...20Cover&tt=ram
It works slick. By the way, the wire tap did NOT take out my pump. I had a air leak at the pickup tube in the tank. Lack of fuel killed the pump. I had 16lbs of fuel preasure when this happened, but the fuel preasure was actually air preasure. I now have a clear glass filter between the original filter and the vp44, every time I stop for fuel I check the filter for air bubbles before shutting down the truck.

If you have any off road stores or aftermarket store that sell aftermarket accesories they will probably install it for you. where i am at salem offroad will install them but they wanted a 100 dollars so i just did mine myself.

If the vp44 goes out after a shop installs it i doubt that they will pay for it to be replaced. but if they screw up your exhaust mainfold when the are tapping it for the egt probe then they would have to because they messed up but it would be hard to prove that the reason that the vp went out was because something that they did. unless it goes out while they have it in the shop.
