One more thing, can the injector itself go bad or is it just the nozzles that give you problems? I hate to put new nozzles on bad injectors only to have to replace the whole thing anyway. That's normally how my luck goes.

Just thought of something else..man I'm a worry wart. Do the Stage 3 make a lot of smoke. I really don't want it smoke anymore than it is now but I know it will some. Can you play with the programmer to limit/maximize smoke?
the smoke isn't bad at all, definetly not enough for me, I have to try and make it smoke.as long as you don't try you ll be fine.and yes turn it down.

true you aren't going to get the same power. just go with the jammers. it is worth it when you don't want to spend the $$. i was in the smae boat you were in and i chose the jamers and were really happy. the only problem is now that my TC is slipping bad.

Ok, thanks guys. I'm out of questions (for now) so the Jammers will be on their way soon. Merry Christmas to ME.

I'm back with more questions. I decided to order new o-rings and washers while I'm at it, I think they are $27 for the set. Is this overkill and the going rate? And my final question : will I be Ok with a stock 3" exhaust and intake as long as I'm careful until I can upgrade?

that seems a good price. i get a little better because my parents own an auto parts store. i think mine was 23-25 for it all. all i have to say is watch your EGT gauge. thats the most important thing. i can hit 1600* with mine but have never done anything bad to it. so its what you want to do.

You should be o.k. with what you have but I have heard that the Superchips are a little warm and smokey. You'll have to watch the temps when you put them in.

Good move on new o-rings and washers. I always change them when swapping injectors. Put a light film of oil on the o-ring when you go to install them.

Make sure when you pull the injectors that the washers come with them. Sometimes they fall off and stay in the hole.

Do you have your wire tapped? Hopefully my Superchip won't hurt it too bad. How about your fuel press? Will the nozzles bring it down? I will eventually get a big line kit but for now I might just use a pusher pump.

I've stepped on the slippery slope

I got'em in today and all I can say is HOLY CRAP!!! I had my Superchips on tow safe (40 hp) and broke the tires loose and it almost got away from me. The tranny didn't like it either, I could slip it if I punched it while in lock up. I've decided to run just the injectors until I can do something with the trans. Installation took me aobut 6 hrs but remember I've never done this before and I also adjusted my vavles while I was there. I didn't have to crack any lines to get her going either. I'm happy with them but do you think my EGT's will be too much when towing with my SC turned off?
