It's clutch time...

Okey dokey everyone I am able to slip my clutch pretty much at will in the upper 3 gears, lol. I have not finished power wise, I plan on 140-150hp injectors, and Schied LC DV's in the near-ish future and want to get a clutch that will hold that and maybe a little more fueling... In honesty 90% of my driving right now is just daily driving to and from work and school, the other 8% would be a mixture of drag racing and 2% trailer toting. I DO want a dual disk from SBC (as I want to be able to sledpull this spring/summer if the chance arises). My concern is which one to get the #3600 12CB or the #3850 12CB? On the website it lists the #3600 as heavy duty street/light sled pulling, but doesn't say anything about drag racing. I want to be able to do a 3rd gear boosted launch when at a drag strip if it could... One thing I have no clue about is how long do those clutches last with the propper care? Thanks everyone in advance for the help!!!

i am running a whole sbc tranny in mine. i have the triple disk clutch in mine, i love it, grabs HARD. when the stock trans was in when the 38's got put on, it would slip bad, not i can roll white smoke off the tires in 2 & 3 gear while rolling. if your going to go with sbc, your making a good choice. i still pull a trailer, pull out friends that are stuck, drag trees sometimes after hurricanes, and it hasnt failed or missed a beat.

If you want to pull then you want the 3850. The 3600 does some pretty mean launches though.

Ditto what ph4tty says. If your gonna sledpull get the 3850. If your just going to keep it on the street go with the 3600.
I like my 4200.

go with the 3600 6CB or the 3850 12CB if racing is your thing. The 3600 should be a tad easier on you and faster at the strip. Unless you are going to do some serious pump mods the 3600 will be fine.

If we can answer any questions please feel free to phone.
