Isspro pyrometer problem

I recently sold an Isspro pyrometer to a member here and after he installed it he says it only reaches 400 degrees and moves real slow. I did a search but never found a real definitive answer. It worked perfect when I took it out of my truck and I would like to help him out. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Bad ground hooking up the control box? Probe installed in-correctly? Loose wire connection at the probe lead wires? Or those connections could be shorting out a little?

Mine did the exact same thing. It did it for about half a day, about 3 or four times of turning the truck off and starting it, then started working again. No real help here, but at least it's not totally uncommon. I'd check the connections again.

I had one Isspro thermocouple go bad. But as others have stated, check the connection and the box.
