Intercooler Boot/pipe Help

So I am replacing the stock boots with Vulcan boots and of course, I took the lower pipe from the passenger side completely out of the truck thinking it'd be easier to do it that way. Well now I can't remember which way that pipe goes.

So, how does the pipe go? There's a bend in it and one side is longer (after the bend) and the other is shorter. Which side goes toward the turbo vs. toward the intercooler?

You'd really be helping my sanity if you could check yours and let me know...

Thanks in advance.

My truck has a 45* boot coming off the intercooler to a hard pipe going straight toward the block then bends before the turbo away from the block then booted to the turbo...HOpe that helps....

Longer end is toward the intercooler. Pipe bends around the wheel well to the turbo.

Not to be a *****, but wouldn't have been faster/easier to just put the pipe in, and reverse it if it didn't fit properly?

Not singling out CODODGE2500MAN in any way but it seems like in the age of the internet many people don't even go look under their hood and expect everything will be answered online.
It gets old trying to talk someone though a repair describing where certain components are located when you can tell the person hasn't even tried looking.

Well said Infidel, I think the best lessons are learned through trial and error, that being said absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions.
With no disrespect to anyone, I think some people rely on others to tell them instead of trying to figure it out.

I have respect for the above stated....

BUT, I did try to put it in a couple of different ways (bending it around the coolant hoses, etc) and it just didn't look right. It's driveable, but I wanted to make sure. It wasn't that hard for someone to check their truck, and I really appreciate it Carl.

Thanks for the responses.

pipes/boots

i must say that it is a good upgrade, better to do the intercooler and pipes. i know from looking at mine it is highly restricted, the boots are is such a horrible position that they are crushed (the ones on the bottom side of the intercooler).
