Re:installing guages

I loosened my turbo off and duct-taped the flange to keep chips out of it when I drilled my manifold. I had to remove the oil feed line to get it far enough away. I started it and ran it for about 5 seconds without the turbo to blow everything out of the manifold. An awful lot of oil comes out of that little feed line in 5 seconds. :-[ Lots of fun putting it all back together when everything's soaked with oil. Used close to 3 rolls of paper towel trying to sop everything up. Didn't cuss TOO much except everytime I bashed my knuckles due to VERY slippery wrenches. Wife was laughing her head off. Spent 10 bucks at the carwash after it was back together. Truck still stank like burning oil for 2 days. Next time I'll still remove the turbo but I can pretty much guarantee that I'll remember to do the oil line up before I start it.

I monitor oil pressure and temp from that area, it is not unusual to have 80-90 psi on that line when first started. You can squirt out a quart very quickly.
