if you want to eliminate the isolatoe just run the line from the tap in the fuel line to the guage. if you want the isolator and you need to fill it hook everything up but the guage and fill the iaolator and the line from the isolator to the guage make sure to get all the air out of the line that you can and hook up the guage thats how i did mine and its been fine. but on the diesel i used the elec guage from stewart warner and i havent had a problem yet its always within a few lbs of a mec guage when i check it..

Don't use stainless braided all the way into cab,from the eng.
It will attenuate the engine noise, it will sound like the engine is under the dash.

I will check my install tommorow morning and give you a list.

Basicaly, I used Fuel Inj hose to the firewall, than 1/8 copper tubing to gage..
Probably can use the braided inside, but its hard to get it to gage...

Thats not my experience...I have braided SS running up to 90 psi to my oil pressure guage and its QUIET.

I wouldnt run anything through copper...air brake line is much better, IMO.

jturs;
I used a 'Geno's' Taped Banjo fitting ; for the fuel inlet to the the IP
Has larger fuel holes and also a taped 1/8 npt port for a bayonet fitting;
May want to big line kit at same time ( and LP relocate, if not done already)

From there I used Fuel Injection hose to the firewall, baynonet fitting to adapters to 1/8 copper ( ferrel type connectors ) to line coupling to gage adapter... ( napa has a gage install kit with copper line ) and may have
hardware also, if not, Hardware store..

Dr Evil: ? Injector Pump transmits more noise ??? Or maybe Std Shift,
I don't know, But I could not get the noise out of the cab untill I got rid
of the Braided fuel line, Did use the Line for the Oil pressure gage,
but only up to the firewall where the oil pressure light sw is located, than 1/8
copper, so far in many years of using it I have had no problems
( better start checking now that I have said that )

thanks for the help. dosnt sound to hard but since i already have everything required for the guage install i might as well try it there way. plus i dont have time to get more parts and shop around i need them in by sat.

about the bigline kit what would i exactly benefit from it? would this be a good thing to have with a new walbro GFS lift pump system because thats my next upgrade.

thanks again

Actually that may be true...there are a lot of pulsations from the IP. But, you still dont have me convinced on using hard copper line. Whatever works for you.

I need one soon on my stock truck. What is the cheapest way to do this? If I just buy the $40 Isspro standalone gauge can I just get a line to run directly from the fuel line to the gauge?
