Installed new headunit, no sound

Ive searched and searched and havent found much on the topic, but here's my problem:
I took my factory head unit out and replaced it with a decent quality JVC, When i bought the wire harness from circuit city, they said that's all I'd need, and I trusted them because they install there. Anyways, I'm getting very little sound through 2 speakers up front and ZERO sound from the other speakers. I'm guessing it's pre amped or something but ive asked a bunch of installers and they say they've never run into problems, even with the stock infinity systems

any ideas?

More than likely you do not have your amp power signal wire connected.... With most newer head units there is a blue? wire for signaling an amp to power up. If you have the infinity system as mentioned there is an onboard amp that has to be turned on by your head unit...

Like others have said, without the blue wire (or power antenna hook up) connected you'll get NOTHING. Sounds dumb, cause we all know there is no power antenna, it is just a 12V signal to power up the amps/crossovers.

did you hook up the blue wire or the blue/white? because on some head units when you turn on a CD it takes away power from your antenna, but on yours it will turn the amps off, so if it does that, switch it to the blue/white wire.
