Installed GSK today had 3 springs allready?
I installed the GSK to day motor is still on the floor of the shop so it only took about 15 min.The instructions said to remove the two springs but it had three, it looked like it had not been apart.are these stock this is a 1997 motor
I put a 3k GSK on my 97 about a week ago and it looked just like yours. Just pullout everything but the large spring and any shims under it. Install the seats and two springs from the kit, put on the top seat and nut and your good to go.
I pulled all but the large spring it had no shims . I just wanted to make sure this was not a gsk kit hat some one had all ready put in.My kit had 3 springs.
It was the same price as the one with 2 springs.

Looks like stock springs to me from the two piece seats in the picture. The largest spring might or might not have shims under it. Just leave the largest spring and any shims under it alone. Pull out all other springs , seats and any shims under them.
The 3K GSK I put in only had two springs for each side, I'm not sure but I think the 4K GSK has three springs like the original setup. If you installed a 4K kit then you will also need stronger intake and exhaust springs as the engine can easily be reved high enough to cause damage when the valves can't keep up.
