Installed FASS today.

Well I did it. I finally got it together. Its pretty easy to install and it pegs over 15 psi. One note though I ran it to the stock fuel filter first and got the same psi reading as before. After I bypassed the stock filter boom! I could not even bring it away from the 15 psi mark. After driving about 50 miles the needle started to move down when I hit the gas The lowest I can get it now is 13 psi. Why is this? I noticed the fuel is now warm (touched the filters). Would this cause fuel pressure to drop? Either way it stays at 15 most of the time. It flows like a hydrant. We were bleeding it and it surprised us with a shower of diesel. The bracket that came with it could have been better. I works but if you have one you know what I am talking about. I will post pics later and keep you informed about how it works. T

The fuel is warm because the pump is circulating the fuel so quickly it will warm the whole tank. I wouldn't think that warm fuel would cause the pressure to drop though.

Mine works the same way!

Idle - 15
Normal Acceleration - 15
WOT - dips to 13.5 and than climbs back up...even if I stay in the throttle.

Could be the way we have our FP Gauges hooked up? I never worried about it cause 13+ psi at WOT is more than enough.

And that's with a 3 micron fuel filter...feeding 500 horses!

From what I'm told it's normal to have your fp drop a little bit at WOT. I put a FASS 2 on my truck, here are the numbers:
Idle: 22.5 psi
Normal Driving: 20 psi
WOT: 17 psi

Lots of variables when it comes to the FASS!
-FASS I vs FASS II
-Different pressure springs
-95 gph vs 150 gph flow rating
-Some with FASS II have different sized lines to the Inj Pump
-Some run FASS I through their stock fuel filter??
-And probably more

But they all flow more than enough for safe WOT!!
